NCHA are looking to hire an Employer's Agent / Quantity Surveyor to work within our internal Pelham Architects consultancy team. We would like to hear from you if you have extensive knowledge of new build housing construction in the UK, preferably in an Employers Agent / QS / Project or Construction Management role. Any experience in the delivery of social housing would also be of interest. This is a client-side role where you’ll help deliver new build housing and major refurbishment projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money. You’ll work with contractors, consultants, external and internal clients to deliver multiple projects to create homes that meet the needs of our communities. We would like to hear from you if you have experience in wider construction management, such as being a contracts and project manager, or if you have extensive knowledge of new build housing construction in the UK. Key Responsibilities: * Administer construction and refurbishment contracts (typically JCT Design & Build) on behalf of clients. * Chair pre-contract and post-contract meetings with clients, contractors, and design teams to monitor progress and resolve issues. * Certify contractor payments and commission consultant services in line with contract terms. * Provide technical and contractual advice to clients, including budget management and procurement strategy. * Support clients in meeting statutory obligations, including compliance with CDM Regulations. * Monitor and report on contract performance, using IT systems to track progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). * Manage aftercare and defect resolution, ensuring contractors address issues and complete end-of-defects inspections. * Coordinate site inspections and assist with snagging and handover processes to ensure quality and compliance.
