Employment Hours: Various

Rate of Pay: £12.50 - £13.50 per hour

We are a busy childcare agency serving Berkshire and the surrounding counties. We have a number of new roles and assignments supporting children and young people and we are looking for staff to join our team.

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Support Worker to join our team and support young people who have learning and physical disabilities.

As a Support Worker for Children, you will play a key role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people. You will work to deliver high quality care, support them emotionally, physically, and empower them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in a various settings (including homecare and day services.)

* Ensure the emotional and physical needs of the young people are met.

* Implement individual care plans in collaboration with the existing staff team and other professionals.

* Promote and support the social, and recreational development of young people.

* Help young people develop life skills, including independence, self-care, and decision-making.

* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

* Experience in working with children and young people.

* Understanding of child development, safeguarding, and child protection policies.

* Ability to build strong, positive relationships with young people.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

* A commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young people

Desirable:

* Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.

* Previous experience of working in a residential care setting.
