The successful Workshop Engineer / Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Engineer will provide mechanical fitting, service and maintenance of industrial pump systems and associated rotating equipment at the workshop near Worthing. Full product training provided.
The Workshop Engineer / Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Engineer will ideally have a general mechanical engineering background or strong interest in mechanical systems, with hands-on ability in fitting, assembly, maintenance, or repair.

Carry out mechanical fitting, assembly, and overhaul of industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
Strip down and rebuild mechanical components to specification.
Inspect and test mechanical assemblies, identifying wear, damage, or faults.
Assist with repair, service, and maintenance tasks within the workshop.
Liaise with other engineers and departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.

Experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Workshop Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Junior Engineer, Assembly Technician, Apprentice Engineer, or similar.
Strong mechanical aptitude with good hands-on fitting or assembly skills.
Interest in industrial machinery, pumps, or rotating equipment.
Mechanical background working with pumps, rotating equipment, compressors, blowers, valves, seals, gaskets, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, actuators, hydraulics, pneumatics, or similar.
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or similar) advantageous but not essential.
Must be commutable to the workshop near Worthing, West Sussex.
