National Account Manager – Amazon

Would you like to join a well-established, highly innovative SME with a rich heritage and extensive FMCG consumer expertise? This client is a leader in its niche categories, known for its strong reputation and proactive, passionate culture. They seek a talented Account Manager to oversee online business and potentially other accounts across Grocery or discounters.
Main Purpose of Role
1. Manage the commercial aspects of a portfolio of Online retailers.
2. Develop experience outside of Online within the UK retail market, including discounters.
3. Maximise sustainable and profitable growth of existing customers using the company's brands, and identify new customer opportunities aligned with the business strategy.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Manage customer P&L accounts.
2. Lead customer relationships at buyer level.
3. Negotiate terms, listings, promotions, and CPIs.
4. Forecast sales, report, and analyze against targets, sharing insights internally.
5. Grow sales on Amazon through optimized search, pricing, and ranking strategies.
6. Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to drive sales and ensure stock availability.
7. Maintain relationships with third-party fulfillment providers for product availability.
8. Monitor KPIs such as buybox share, advertising impact, and subscription services.
9. Maintain and analyze Amazon sales data to inform marketing and sales strategies.
10. Work with marketing on online exposure strategies and launch new products online.
11. Monitor market and competitor performance, making swift strategic adjustments.
12. Manage product margins and pricing strategies to maximize returns.
13. Create sales data models and presentation materials for internal and customer use.
14. Operate within Competition Law at all times.
Required Skills & Experience
1. Experience with Amazon seller central/vendor central and understanding of algorithms.
2. Knowledge of PPC/SEO and keyword optimization for brand awareness.
3. Experience with third-party sales tools like Jungle Scout.
4. Experience creating Amazon ads and brand pages.
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills for data analysis and reporting.
6. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify trends and actions.
7. Problem-solving skills with adaptability and a proactive approach.
8. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
