Are you an experienced Healthcare Support Worker looking for an exciting opportunity in surgical theatres?

Or do you have NHS experience in an acute setting and are eager to develop your skills in a theatre environment?

At UHBW, we are passionate about providing the highest quality patient care, and we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our theatre team.

What to Expect in This Role:

Working in an acute hospital setting can be fast-paced, physically demanding, and emotionally challenging. You will be caring for both male and female adult patients, including providing intimate personal care, while always ensuring dignity and respect.

Shifts include weekdays and on-call duties to provide 24-hour emergency service, which includes weekends and Bank Holidays.

What We’re Looking For:

* A team player with a passion for delivering outstanding care.
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment and handle the emotional and physical challenges of the role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.

We welcome applications from experienced Healthcare Support Workers and those with NHS experience in an acute setting, even if you haven’t worked in this role before. Full training will be provided.

As a Theatre Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing operating rooms before surgery and maintaining cleanliness afterwards.
* Assisting with infection control and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
* Supporting theatre nurses, anesthetists, surgeons, and operating department practitioners (ODPs).
* Helping patients feel calm and comfortable before surgery.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work alongside an expert team, gain invaluable experience, and make a real difference in patient care.

Please Note:

This role may attract a high number of applicants, and the advert may close earlier than the stated deadline. Early applications are encouraged.
