We are one of the world leaders in the work that we do.We have a vacancy for a Senior Analyst in NICE's Research team. Reporting to a Scientific Adviser, the post holder will work with NICE colleagues and international collaborators, including HTA agencies and regulators, to develop our methods, processes and policies for health technology assessment and guideline development. They will also work on grant-funded one or more of our research projects, funded by national and international funders.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Analysts within the Research team are responsible for a range of activities, including:

Conducting research, analysing data and disseminating findings in collaboration with partners in the UK and internationally

Delivering science policy and research outputs and ensuring the high technical quality of these outputs

Developing applications for research funding in collaboration with partners in the UK and internationally

Proactively working with teams across NICE to develop and deliver projects that address NICE's strategic research priorities

Developing and maintaining working relationships with external collaborators including research partners, international HTA agencies, regulators and the wider research community

Managing the Research team's research infrastructure activity.

The team adopts a flexible approach, meaning that the post holder will work on multiple projects and activities at any one time and that specific tasks assigned to the post-holder may change in response to business needs.

The Science, Evidence and Analytics Directorate provides the essential foundation that underpins all NICE guidance. We're responsible for keeping NICE's methodological approaches fit for purpose. This involves not just internal development but active engagement with our stakeholders to understand what matters most to them in health technology assessment and guideline development. We collaborate on research projects to drive innovation in new methods.

* Masters degree (or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and training/development) in one of more of the following fields: health economics, health outcomes research, medical statistics, epidemiology, or another relevant health-related discipline.
