Role: Health Information Specialist

Location: Covering The London Bridge Hospital, The Wellington Hospital and The Lister Hospital, all within London

Full time, 37.5 hours/week

Permanent

£30,484 per annum + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)

We are currently recruiting for a Health Information Specialist to join our friendly and experienced Health Information Management (HIM) department, working across three of our sites. Within this role, you will provide a responsive, efficient, accurate and secure service for the management of health information within HCA Healthcare UK.

What you’ll do:

1. To process enquiries regarding health information from patients and their legal representatives, as well as Hospital colleagues.

2. To file incoming reports/correspondence into patient records.

3. Prepare files for storage, archiving.

4. To provide records or information on request.

5. Filing, photocopying, letter writing, dealing with telephone enquiries and sundries as required.

6. Inputting of data as and when required.

7. Responsible for identifying and appropriately rectifying duplicate patient medical records.

What you’ll bring:

8. Previous experience within a medical records department would be highly regarded.

9. Previous experience in collating and interpreting data.

10. Computer literate.

11. Excellent administrative skills.
