The Supplier Relations Consultant role exists to build strong mutual relationships with our travel suppliers to ensure that we have access to market leading supplier content, commercial opportunities, and a support mechanism which the business can rely on. It would also be the job holder’s responsibility to communicate in a clear and concise manner any key supplier updates as well as maintaining our supplier knowledge resources so that the business is suitably informed. Managing all aspects of IATA ensuring we are complying to all requirements within the IATA Travel Handbook to sustain our accreditation in all locations permitting the issuance of AIR tickets where if not managed accordingly, results in a significant risk to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the ongoing relationship with all travel, merchant payment and security suppliers
* Take ownership of the creation of a project plan for the roll out of newly appointed strategic suppliers while collaborating with external/internal stakeholders
* Play a key role in the commercial negotiation with travel suppliers to maximise discounted rates for our customers to ensure market leading content
* Commercial responsibility via negotiation with suppliers to ensure Clyde achieve incentive agreements to enhance supplier income for the business
* Responsible for communicating all key supplier updates throughout the business as well as maintaining a quality standard supplier knowledge base
* Collaborate with new and existing suppliers based on travel patterns to gain additional content and discounted rates
* Manage the auditing and loading of all supplier content in Clyde’s global locations
* Evaluate, verify, and onboard new suppliers according to the business needs
IATA Relationship:
* Assuming accountability by complying to all requirements within the IATA Handbook and managing all policy changes to ensure there is no disruption to our Clyde locations ability to issue AIR tickets. 70% of transactions flow through supplier IATA therefore failure to manage this supplier accordingly would be a significant impact to the sustainability of the business
* Quality is key in ensuring all of Clyde’s global locations have sufficient credit line for the business needs while managing adjustments where necessary to avoid any loss in integrity with IATA, customers or airline partners.
* Calculate and facilitate IATA bank guarantees where necessary
* Managing and gaining ticketing rights for IATA member airlines for Clyde global locations
* Take ownership of IATA’s annual recertification and financial assessments to ensure quality standard are consistently achieved
Candidate Requirements
* Experience within a travel industry role.
* Good communication skills will aid the job holder to explain situations to their peers, line manager and colleagues with confidence and coherently
* Experience of dealing with IATA is preferred
* Experience in dealing with suppliers, procuring, managing, and negotiating content and acting as an ambassador on behalf of a business.
* Commercial acumen including negotiation and the principles of procurement
* Strong data analysis skills (within a travel environment preferred)
