As our region flourishes and grows at one of the fastest rates in the UK, it’s essential we have assets and investments that can provide clean and safe running water for generations to come. Central to achieving this is our Strategic Investment Management team, responsible for defining and implementing an industry-leading asset management approach and developing forward investment plans worth upwards of £11bn.
What will you be doing?
* Collect and quality assure cost data from service providers, ensuring alignment with SAP and business processes.
* Support the use of Cost Capture tool and provide expert advice to colleagues and partners.
* Focused on ensuring that service providers provide accurate and timely capital and operational cost data.
* Support the Cost Engineers in the development of cost relationships to ensure Total Expenditure (TOTEX) estimates are provided for all activities.
* Analyse unit cost differences, resolve anomalies, and prepare audit packs for external review.
* Assist with system testing, guidance documentation, and help desk support for users.
* Become an expert on cost collection systems, cost assessment of constructions of assets, benchmarking and support to estimations whilst building strong relationships internally and externally to deliver a value-added service.
W hat does it take to be a Cost Intelligence Analyst?
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Proven experience in customer service and IT systems (e.g., Windows Operating Systems).
* Well-developed stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver to demanding deadlines.
* Understanding of asset management capabilities— preferably within the water industry— would be desirable.
