Overview
Humdinger’s Sherburn‑in‑Elmet site is seeking a Warehouse Manager who thrives in a high‑volume, fast‑moving environment and brings confident, hands‑on leadership to our inbound, outbound, and stock control operations. This is a key role within the site management team, responsible for ensuring an efficient, safe, and highly disciplined warehouse that supports production flow and protects product integrity at every stage.
Position Details
* Position type: full time, permanent
* Hours: 37.5
* Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 0830 - 1630
* Closing Date: 27/02/2026
Responsibilities
* Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Warehouse Supervisors (x3 with one allocated per shift) and Warehouse Operatives (x6 with two allocated per shift)
* Ensuring all warehouse areas run safely and efficiently
* Keeping production fully supplied with materials - on time, every time
* Managing accurate stock movements and PI checks within QAD
* Overseeing put‑away, space optimisation, pallet control, and consumables
* Setting up and maintaining booking diaries for all inbound and outbound deliveries
* Monitoring MHE checks, repairs, and maintenance budgets
* Working closely with Production, Supply Chain, Technical, HR and our Group 3PL team
* Driving a strong safety culture with proactive reporting and low accident frequency
* Report directly to the site Operations Manager
Essential Skills
* Strong experience in warehouse or supply chain operations
* FMCG experience - ideally food manufacturing
* Proven people leadership experience
* Strong computer literacy (MS Office)
* Confident numeracy skills
Desirable Skills
* FLT license — Counterbalance and/or Reach
* Recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH)
* SEMA racking training
* 25 days annual holiday entitlement

With advanced technologies including belt coating, button manufacture, drop rolling, and hard panning, the site supports a diverse customer base across retail, third-party, and B2B channels.
