Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Manchester (M23)
Pay: £16.64 per hour
Start Date: 27.04.2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
The Role:
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching and support staff to help students access learning and develop key emotional and social skills. Responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the delivery of evidence-based interventions focused on emotional regulation and wellbeing
* Assisting with one-to-one and small-group support sessions
* Helping to implement strategies that encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and motivation
* Supporting students with additional learning and behavioural needs in both classroom and wider school settings
* Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
What We Are Looking For:
* A recent Psychology degree or equivalent qualification
* A genuine interest in child development, educational psychology, and neurodiversity
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A calm, patient and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training within the last 12 months is desirable, although training can be provided
To Be Eligible, You Must:
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Have an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
* Be able to provide two professional references relating to work with children or young people
