Job Title: GIS Analyst
Location: London, UK (Hybrid working available)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £30,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
Our client, a leading environmental consultancy, is seeking a skilled and motivated GIS Analyst to join their dynamic team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that address critical environmental challenges, including climate change, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable land use planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect, manage, and analyse spatial data to support environmental assessments and decision-making processes.
* Develop and maintain geospatial databases and mapping tools to visualise environmental data effectively.
* Conduct spatial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and potential impacts related to environmental factors.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate GIS solutions into environmental projects.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
* Stay updated with advancements in GIS technologies and environmental regulations to ensure best practices.
Requirements:
* Degree in Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, or a related field.
* Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial analysis techniques.
* Experience with remote sensing data and environmental modelling is advantageous.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Knowledge of environmental policies and regulations is a plus.
