Cost Engineer - 6 month contract - Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria - £42.76 ph UMB or £31.79 ph PAYE (Inside IR35)
The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). The Role
Looking for a Cost Engineer. They would be a Lead for cost control across the AVC project, ensuring we're abiding by our budget on a day to day basis. Ensuring in line with our forecast. Updating the spend forecast and being able to articulate any cost variances. Developing the estimate of complection (EAC).
What are BAE Systems looking for from you?
Ideally someone with experience as a Cost Lead Expert on Dreadnought (desirable).
If not Dreadnought other similar industries - i.e Oil & Gas.
Looking for some logic based approach.
Fluent in Excel - SAP would be desirable.
Faimilarity with planning tools such as P6 would be advantagoues but not essential.
Ideally some form of PM qualification but not essential.
Security Requirements: SC, ITAR & UK EYES ONLY
This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct and/or indirect access to ITAR Material which means there are restrictions.
