Experienced Laboratory Technician / Senior Laboratory Technician

A leading research-focused organisation is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician / Senior Laboratory Technician to provide essential laboratory support across multiple teams. Working closely with scientists, you will help ensure the lab operates efficiently by preparing reagents, maintaining stock and consumables, and supporting day-to-day operations in a safe, well-organised environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide routine advice, guidance and general laboratory support to colleagues.
* Produce and maintain high-quality laboratory reagents to agreed timelines, working to established protocols and procedures.
* Carry out routine laboratory stocking and supply procedures under minimal supervision.
* Monitor and maintain supplies of agreed laboratory reagents and consumables.
* Receive goods into the laboratory and maintain accurate records.
* Prioritise daily tasks effectively, demonstrating sound decision-making.
* Identify and highlight opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency and operational effectiveness.
* Contribute to initiatives that improve day-to-day lab operations.
Key Requirements
* Strong time management with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.
* High attention to detail with experience following protocols and documentation requirements accurately.
* Hands-on laboratory (or similar technical) experience with an understanding of safety standards and routine lab procedures.
* Flexible and adaptable team player, willing to support a broad range of duties as needed.
* Education to A-level (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline with relevant lab experience, or degree level (BSc) in a scientific field.
