Python/Qt Engineer (GUI) - London - £150k base + bonus
We’re working with a high-performing, technology-driven trading firm building mission-critical front office tools used directly by traders in fast-moving markets. They’re looking for a Senior Python Engineer with Qt expertise to help design and deliver the next generation of real-time trading interfaces.
This is a rare opportunity to sit close to the desk, owning the GUI layer of a live trading environment where performance, usability, and speed of iteration directly impact PnL.
What you’ll do
* Build high-performance desktop GUI applications used by traders in real time
* Design intuitive, responsive interfaces for complex trading workflows
* Work directly with front office users to iterate rapidly on features
* Drive performance and usability improvements in latency-sensitive systems
What they're looking for
* Strong Python engineering experience in production environments
* Hands-on Qt experience (PyQt, PySide, QML or Qt Widgets)
* Proven experience building desktop GUI applications
* Comfortable working in Linux environments
* Solid data handling skills (e.g. SQL)
