AAG Defence Services is a MAA Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) based in RAF Brize Norton, UK. We work in partnership with Airbus Aerospace & Defence to supply dedicated MRO services, including heavy and line maintenance, to the Royal Air Force’s fleet of A400M Atlas aircraft. Our committed and flexible team of over 100 engineers and management are based at RAF Brize Norton in a dedicated 24,000m², three-bay facility designed to optimise the maintenance of the aircraft. Job Purpose To ensure the smooth transition of parts into and out of the business, in accordance with MAA regulations and company procedures. Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following: Key Responsibilities Receipt and process in-coming aircraft parts accurately and efficiently onto AMOS. Issue parts to customer. Accurate inputting of data onto the Stores computer system. Ensure the safety of all aircraft parts, including the integrity of labels and packing. Process US returns to Airbus. Place orders with Airbus for aircraft parts. Progress and hasten outstanding orders. Undertake other similar or associated duties as may be assigned by the Line Manager. Understand health and safety practices and enforcing them in all aspects of the role. Maintain the safety and security of all assets held in the Stores facility. Be aware of aviation security responsibilities with regards to the AAGDS Security Policy. Health and Safety Understand individual operational safety and security responsibilities including; Awareness of personal health and safety and the health and safety of others at work. Including Management responsibilities as required by H&S Manual. Awareness of aviation safety responsibilities with regards to the AAGDS Safety. Including Management responsibilities as required by the Safety Management Manual Essential skills and qualifications Proficient in storekeeping systems and IT packages including Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of working in a stores environment. Knowledge of lifting and manual handling aids. Knowledge of health and safety requirements. High level of attention to detail and capable of producing a consistent standard of work. Strong inter-personal skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Hold a current Human Factors Qualification. Desirable skills Previous experience in an aviation environment and/or Stores environment. Knowledge of COSHH, and chemicals. Forklift licence.
