Area Sales Manager
The Role: As an Area Sales Manager you will be selling a range of abrasive products manufactured in Europe and sold through distribution channels across the South East & London region. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for growing a number of close distribution partner accounts whilst bringing on new customers in the region. The role is fully autonomous and trust is key as you will be effectively running the area like your own business. In addition, the Area Sales Manager will have support from an Applications Engineer who will provide engineering assistance and can be brough in on joint visits where a technical demonstration is required depending on the application.
The Area Sales Manager will be inheriting an area which has had some strong performances on it in the last four years, some fantastic direct accounts, and growing partnerships within the distribution channel. A big part of this role is activity and you will be looking at around 20 customer visits on average per week to ensure full visibility, support to your customers, and to make sure the wallet share is as high as it can be.
Requirements: To be considered for the Area Sales Manager role you must:
·Have a demonstrable track record in industrial B2B sales
·Are comfortable in lots of travel across the defined area
·Be a natural relationship builder
·Understand the process of selling through independent dealers/merchants
·Ideally come from an engineered product background
·Be an effective communicator & negotiator

In the last two years they have really focussed their ideal customer profile, designed & executed a sales strategy, and are getting ever closer to their distribution partners. They have training & development opportunities readily available, a great supply chain, and support from specialist Application Engineers for their sales team to take advantage of.
The Package for Area Sales Manager is:
·Basic: up to £50,000 DOE
·OTE = £10k-15k year 1, paid monthly in arrears
