CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Buyer, Healthcare & Laboratory, to join a growing and exciting research facility in Oxford, on a permanent basis. This role will be hybrid, requiring you to be on-site for three days a week.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially savvy Senior Buyer, Healthcare & Laboratory, to source, negotiate, purchase and manage the supply of essential materials and equipment for the facilities department, including both laboratory research and clinical operations.
Responsibilities:
* Managing the procurement of healthcare and laboratory products and services.
* Working closely with Legal Services to ensure timely contract reviews.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal terms and pricing.
* Evaluating supplier performance and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
* Developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
* Manage the documentation required for procurement, including purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and shipping records.
Your Background:
* A relevant BSc.
* Minimum CIPS Level 4.
* Experience of working with laboratory reagents, consumables, equipment, and clinical trial supplies is highly preferred.
* Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory requirements related to procurement in scientific settings.
* Experience with procurement software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools is desirable.
