Personal Assistant/Buddy
Location: Evesham, Worcestershire
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Hours: 9/10 hours per week across two or three days per week to include some evenings.
About the Client
Adam lives in the family home in Evesham, Worcestershire, within easy distance of Cheltenham, Worcester and Stratford-Upon-Avon. Adam’s wish is to live independently and life to the max. Having suffered a severe brain injury in his childhood, he has ongoing issues with balance, physical and cognitive problems. As a result of these challenges, Adam needs some support and guidance within his day-to-day life.
Interests & Hobbies
Adam enjoys keeping fit, going to gigs, listening to music, watching films, getting out and about in the local community, socialising with friends and spending time with family. He may also need help with domestic tasks and general life admin.
Role Overview
The purpose of the role is to enable Adam to maintain his independence, both at home and in the community, which will include planning and attending social and leisure outings, encouraging and enabling a broadening of his social circle while ensuring good decision‑making and safety. The assistant will follow the care plan, maintain accurate care records, and liaise with Adam’s family and other professionals, ensuring professional boundaries, privacy and confidentiality. Adam does not require support with personal care.
Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements
* Prefer experience supporting someone with brain injury or cognitive impairment, but not essential – training will be provided
* Hold a full, clean UK driving licence and own vehicle to transport Adam during shifts
* Outgoing, friendly, sociable, reliable, trustworthy, professional and calm demeanour
Available Hours
This role offers flexibility; the ideal shift pattern would combine hours during the day and evening as per Adam’s needs. Shifts can be either:
* 3 shifts of 3 hours per week
* 2 shifts of 5 hours per week
The precise days of work will be agreed in advance.
Rate of Pay
Paid at £15.00 per hour with client‑related mileage paid at the current HMRC advisory rate of 45p per mile.
