Purpose of the Job:
We seek motivated, customer-focused individuals for the role of Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician. The role involves ensuring safety compliance, conducting preventative maintenance to high standards, and maximizing equipment availability through continuous improvement.
Shift Pattern:
This position involves working in a non-traditional shift pattern, which may include nights and weekends.
Responsibilities:
* Model and promote health & safety best practices within the team.
* Demonstrate expert knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) through hands-on work.
* Coach and mentor technicians on shift.
* Ensure high equipment availability via troubleshooting and prioritization.
* Support system improvements across the EU network.
* Maintain good relationships across all organizational levels.
* Understand OEE and equipment performance metrics.
* Manage contractors effectively.
* Train operational teams on proper equipment use.
* Provide on-site support and manage high-severity issue escalations.
* Coordinate with subcontractors for escalated issues.
* Manage critical spare parts inventory using EAM systems.
* Coordinate and execute planned preventative maintenance on all MHE equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
* Completed a full engineering apprenticeship or qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines with experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
* Solid knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
* Experience with CMMS for planning maintenance and recording tasks.
* Understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
* Effective communication skills in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Proven leadership and influencing skills.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects.
* Experience managing multiple contractors.
* Experience working in a multi-site environment.
* Experience fault-finding on building systems like HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, and general maintenance.
