The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support TA to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with specific behavioural needs. This role is vital in helping the pupil develop positive behaviours, build resilience, and engage fully with their learning. Experience of supporting a child with SEND and behaviour is required. You will be based within a classroom and will be supporting the child to access the curriculum at their level and will be supported by the Inclusion Manager. Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent, high-quality 1:1 behaviour support tailored to the pupil's needs. Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Support the pupil in developing independence and social skills. Work collaboratively with teachers, Inclusion Manager and outside agencies Maintain accurate records of progress and behaviour incidents. Support the pupil during lessons, breaks, and transitions as needed. Person Specification: Experience supporting pupils with behavioural needs, preferably in a primary school setting. Understanding of inclusive education and unconditional positive regard. Ability to build trusting and respectful relationships with pupils. Strong communication and teamwork skills. The position is offered on a temporary contract and is attached to the child and funding This role is 25-30 hours per week and you would also be a member of our play team. Full training would be provided. We are a platinum OPAL school and are in the top 1% of the country for our play offer.
