About the role
We are looking for a research intern with an interest in language and equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project that explores the use of gender-inclusive language across different contexts.
As part of this role, you will:
1. Review literature and trends in relation to gender-inclusive language
2. Support with study administration ( consent forms and participant recruitment)
3. Support with data collection
4. Assist with data analysis and/or interpretation
5. Share project updates and findings
6. Contribute to writing up the research
About you
You will preferably be a graduate or studying towards an undergraduate qualification in MFLs, English Literature and/or Language, Education, Psychology, or another Social Science.
You will have experience or keen interest, in research in education and equality, diversity and inclusion particularly issues relating to gender and/or language.
To be successful in this role, the following skills, values and behaviours are desirable:
7. Team player who can deliver tasks on time
8. Ability to analyse and interpret different types of information
9. Some awareness of current discussions around gender and language, or an interest in learning about this area
10. Good communication and collaboration skills
11. The ability to review academic literature.
12. Interest in contributing to the design and delivery of research projects
13. A good command of a language other than English would be an asset, but it is not essential
