Job Overview
The Adult Safeguarding & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker and Best Interest Assessor to join the MASH (Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub). The Team is friendly, fast paced and supportive, committed to working towards and achieving positive outcomes for citizens within our area.
The MASH works in close collaboration with partner agencies such as South Wales Police and the Local Health Board to support individuals in line with the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
Responsibilities
* Respond to Adult at Risk reports.
* Conduct DoLS assessments for Bridgend County Borough Council and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies.
* Maintain continuous professional development and reflective supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience as a Social Worker.
* Valid driving licence.
* Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
* Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh.
* Commitment to protecting children, young people or adults at risk.
