About the role
This Warehouse Operative/Loader job in Exeter is a night shift role working from 9pm to 5am, full time. The working pattern consists of five shifts per week, with Saturday always off and a second day off on a rota.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, operating warehouse equipment, and supporting the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. This is a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting and strict adherence to health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Key duties include:
5. Loading and unloading goods using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment
6. Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock movements
7. Handling materials efficiently while maintaining organisation within the warehouse and loading areas
8. Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed during daily operations
9. Supporting the organisation of stock storage areas to optimise space
10. Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational targets
About you
To be successful in this Warehouse Operative/Loader job in Exeter, previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial, along with the ability to carry out heavy lifting safely and effectively.
