Royal Free London Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic senior nursing leader to join as Head of Nursing for Nephrology, Urology and Transplantation within the Division of Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic Health (CRM) at the Royal Free Hospital. This is a pivotal role at an exciting time, as the Trust implements a new clinical operational model to strengthen accountability, patient flow, and professional leadership across care pathways.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities:
* Lead nursing teams alongside nurse consultants across nephrology, urology, renal and dialysis services across sites.
* Collaborate with directorate colleagues to ensure delivery of quality, safety, operational and financial objectives of the directorate contributing to overall divisional and health unit performance.
* Ensure delivery of clinical and quality strategies for high quality patient centred care.
* Lead quality improvement, workforce development and professional standards.
* Work collaboratively across all sites with directorate and divisional teams and senior nursing colleagues to promote and enhance both patient and staff experience.
* Contribute to divisional and Trust-wide strategy as a senior nursing leader.
Education & Professional Qualifications
* Registered trained nurse MSc and/or equivalent clinical experience that recognises highly developed and complex levels of knowledge.
* Management/leadership qualifications or equivalent experience.
* Specialist knowledge at doctorate level or equivalent experience in a related field.
* Evidence of continuing personal development.
Experience
* Significant acute operational nursing experience in a complex healthcare organisation.
* Evidence of nursing leadership role in an acute setting.
* Ability to analyse complex problems and to develop practical and workable solutions.
* Ability to manage and deliver to deadlines and within resources.
* Experience in the supervision and management of staff and students.
* Experience in complex employment related issues.
* Experience of using acuity tools and triangulation of data to review and ensure safe skill mix.
* Evidence of leading and managing change within a complex environment.
* Experience of representing a service within a Trust setting.
* Experience of managing a budget.
* Experience of managing other staff groups.
