You will play a vital role supporting pupils outside of lessons, helping them to regulate their emotions, re-engage positively, and return to learning. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 pastoral support to pupils with Autism and SEMH needs Build trusted, supportive relationships to promote emotional regulation and wellbeing Work proactively with pupils who are disengaged, supporting reintegration back into class Assist in delivering interventions and strategies that promote resilience and confidence Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and families to ensure consistent supportRequirements: Experience supporting young people with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs (school, youth work, or care settings considered) Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy Ability to support de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies A passion for helping young people overcome barriers to education Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)If you are passionate about supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH needs outside the classroom, and you want to be part of a growing school community, we'd love to hear from you.
