We’re excited to be partnered with a market‑leading infrastructure organisation delivering some of the UK’s most critical energy transmission projects. As the country accelerates towards a low‑carbon future, this is a rare opportunity to step into a senior, site‑based environmental role where your expertise will directly shape major national infrastructure while protecting some of Scotland’s most remarkable landscapes and wildlife.
This is more than a job. It’s a chance to influence complex projects, work alongside true experts, and leave a positive environmental legacy across large‑scale transmission works in the Scottish Highlands.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading Environmental Excellence - Acting as a key advisor on a major transmission project, ensuring robust environmental controls and compliance are embedded from day one.
* Protecting People, Place & Wildlife - Championing environmental protection across sensitive habitats, species, peatlands, waterways and landscapes.
* Driving Strategy into Action - Implementing the Environmental Management Plan and turning legal and client requirements into practical, site‑ready solutions.
* Being Visible on the Ground - Splitting time between site and office, carrying out walkovers, inspections, audits and real‑time environmental advice.
* Influencing & Educating Teams - Supporting, training and guiding project teams and contractors to raise environmental awareness and best practice.
Who they’re looking for:
* A Proven Environmental Professional - Experience as an Environmental Advisor or ECoW on large construction or infrastructure projects.
* Technically Strong & Practically Minded - Confident across environmental legislation, consenting, monitoring, audits and incident management.
* A Natural Communicator - Able to engage site teams, contractors and stakeholders with clear, credible advice.
* Passionate About Sustainability - Genuinely motivated to protect the environment while enabling critical infrastructure delivery.
* Ready for a Step‑Up Opportunity - Someone keen to grow, develop, and play a senior role within a respected national team.
