The Specialist Stop Smoking Service is seeking to recruit a Stop Smoking Facilitator to work within our service.
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to work within the Team, providing behavioural change advice and facilitate voucher prescribing treatment to smokers. As a key staff member the successful candidate will be passionate about improving health outcomes for the residents. This includes raising the profile of, and facilitating access to stop smoking provision in key settings and improving referral pathways into stop smoking provision.
Although previous experience of community-based health improvement initiatives would be helpful, training and support will be offered if required.
The successful candidate must be able to work occasional late evenings and some Saturdays.
The Stop Smoking Facilitator will be required to provide smoking cessation behavioural change advice, support and assessment, and where appropriate facilitate voucher NRT treatment to clients who want to stop smoking. This includes raising the profile of, and facilitating access to stop smoking provision in key settings and improving referral pathways into stop smoking provision.. To provide resources, training and guidance to staff and volunteers offering smoking cessation brief interventions.
