Service & Support Engineer – Bracknell
Labman Automation is a multi‑award‑winning company based in North Yorkshire that designs and manufactures bespoke laboratory automation systems. We need proactive and technically skilled Service & Support Engineers to maintain and optimise our systems. The role is based at Jealott’s Hill with worldwide travel (approximately 25% worldwide, 25% on‑site, 50% local visits).
Job Type: Full‑time
Location: Jealott’s Hill (with worldwide travel)
Pay: From £44,000 per year (more depending on experience)
Full UK Driving Licence required
What You’ll Do
* Install, maintain, and repair laboratory automation systems.
* Provide remote and on‑site technical support and training to customers, operators and internal teams.
* Conduct performance testing and ensure all systems meet Labman’s quality standards.
* Build strong relationships with customers by providing excellent service and timely solutions.
* Accurately document all service activities, maintenance schedules and customer interactions.
* Regularly visit Labman HQ (Stokesley, North Yorkshire) for involvement in new project builds and acceptance testing.
* Leverage transferable skills from industries such as Building Management Systems, Control Engineering, HVAC, On‑Site Maintenance, Vehicle Engineering, Agricultural/HGV mechanics, etc.
What You Bring
* Proven experience in problem‑solving & fault‑finding, including decision making, clear communication, research & analytical skills.
* Strong electromechanical knowledge.
* Ability to work with hand tools quickly and accurately.
* Enthusiasm and willingness to get stuck in.
* Willingness to travel within the UK and worldwide; main place of work will be Jealott’s Hill.
* Ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritise work.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
