Day PA/Carer
minimum of 2 days per week
We're recruiting dedicated, compassionate, caring and flexible day shift Personal Assistant to join our small skilled team to provide care to our 17 year old daughter to support at home, college, holidays abroad. The position involves working away from home for periods to support at college and on holidays abroad.
She is a bright, determined and able young person who is living with a medical condition that requires close monitoring but minimal intervention. She is active, funny and lives life to the full.
Experience of working in a similar role is essential to join our team. We provide full person-centred training specific to our daughters needs. We are looking for people who have excellent communication skills and can work effectively and fairly within in a team as well being confident working 1:1 and 2:1.
In addition to clinical skills we need you to use British Sign Language as daughter is a Deaf British Sign Language user. Full training is funded and provided.
Tasks include but not limited to;
Gastrostomy
Medication Management
Nebuliser, ventilation, Oxygen/Saturation Monitoring
Tracheostomy care
Essential requirements:
Non smoker or vaper.
Must drive have access to car to get to an from work
Provide support/care away from home for periods of time eg holidays, college etc.
