We are looking for a confident and experienced Security Manager to lead security operations at the Marks & Spencer Distribution Centre in Daventry.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading, supporting, and coordinating Site Protection Officers, ensuring the highest standards of security, compliance, and customer service are consistently delivered. You will act as the first point of contact for operational issues, provide on‑shift leadership, and work closely with site management to maintain a safe and secure working environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Lead and support the SPO team at the M&S Daventry Distribution Centre
2. Act as the first point of contact for security incidents, queries, and escalations
3. Ensure security operations are delivered in line with Mitie and M&S standards
4. Allocate tasks and duties to ensure effective coverage
5. Maintain a visible leadership presence on site and lead by example
6. Monitor access control systems, CCTV operations, and vehicle movements
7. Conduct regular internal and external patrols
8. Support the prevention and investigation of theft, stock loss, and unauthorised access
9. Ensure accurate, timely, and professional incident reporting and handovers
10. Support the training, coaching, and development of Site Protection Officers
11. Liaise closely with site management and other stakeholders
12. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and company security procedures
13. Provide flexible support, including short‑notice cover when required
Person Specification
✅ Previous experience in a security supervisory or Team Leader role
✅ Strong leadership and communication skills
✅ Literate and numerate with excellent attention to detail
✅ Professional appearance with high personal standards
✅ Calm, confident, and effective under pressure
✅ Reliable, adaptable, and proactive
✅ Able to work independently and manage a team
✅ Must hold a valid front‑line SIA Licence
✅ Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle
