Job Role: Staff Engineer (Adobe AEM/Java)
Working Model: Full-Time - Remote (with occasional quarterly workshops/events)
Salary: Up to £84,000 + Excellent Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major organisation as they rebuild their Digital Experience Platform, moving away from a Legacy monolithic system to a modern, cloud-native, customer-first solution. You'll play a key delivery-focused role, supporting multiple squads and working alongside Principal Engineers and senior stakeholders to deliver complex, high-impact initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as a Senior/Staff Engineer within web and mobile application development
* Strong expertise in Adobe AEM and Java (Front End-weighted, 60% web/40% Back End)
* Experience designing and delivering micro Front End architectures with module federation
* Deep knowledge of CI/CD, automation, and testing frameworks across unit, integration, E2E, and non-functional testing
* Cloud-native expertise, ideally GCP or Azure (open to AWS)
* Skilled in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform
* Knowledge of secure development practices, OWASP, authentication/authorisation
* Familiar with mobile frameworks (eg Ionic Capacitor)
* Strong track record of technical leadership and mentoring across squads
* Able to engage stakeholders up to C-suite level, influencing without direct authority

About the Role:
* Join at a critical stage as phase 1 of a new Digital Experience Platform goes live
* Support 5-6 squads as their most senior delivery-focused technical leader
* Partner with the Principal Engineer (strategy-focused) to shape technical direction
* Drive engineering quality, security, scalability, and best practices across squads
* Act as a mentor, challenger, and enabler - showing teams what good looks like
