As part of our client's QC team, you will play a crucial role in helping find cures for cancer, protecting the environment, and ensuring the safety of our food. Your work will have a real-world impact, and our client is committed to supporting your career growth along the way.
🔬 Responsibilities:
1. Perform Quality Control Testing following the specified test specifications and methods
2. Ideally Microbiological testing methods and Media Preparation
3. Complete out of specification reports and assist with investigations
4. Maintain training records
5. Plan, track, and control the progress of products under test
6. Alert the QC Team Leader of any potential problems/failures
7. Record test results within the SAP Quality Management module
8. Conduct equipment checks and audits
9. Ensure cleanliness, waste management, and consumable replenishing
10. Efficiently operate autoclaves
🤝 Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
11. Foster effective working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure collaborative success
12. Work closely with QC Manager, QC Team Leader, QC Lead Scientist, QA, Manufacturing Sciences, Production, Customer Services, and Planning departments
13. Prioritise finished product and raw material testing under the guidance of senior team members
14. Engage in continuous improvement using PPI lean methodology
15. Utilise PPI processes to solve problems and enhance departmental and business processes
16. Exemplify the organisation's values in decision-making and day-to-day operations
🌱 Qualifications and Skills:
17. Qualification in a relevant scientific discipline
18. Ideally experience in Quality Control Testing, particularly in microbiological methods
19. Proficient in using SAP or similar Quality Management systems
20. Ideally have knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP) and Quality Systems
21. Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
22. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
23. Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies

- Competitive hourly rate: £12.64
24. Temporary to permanent opportunity
25. Monday to Thursday working hours 8.00am - 4.00pm/9.00am - 5.00pm
- Early finish on Fridays at 2:30 pm
