Overview
Senior Quality Engineer role at a world-renowned manufacturing group in Swansea. Salary £35,000 - £45,000; benefits: 25 Days + Bank Holidays, 5% Pension, Health scheme, progression pathway to management. Commutable from Swansea, Bridgend, Neath, Port Talbot, Llanelli, Maesteg, Pontardawe, Pontardulais, Ammanford.
Responsibilities
* Support the Quality team in upholding the highest product standards across all areas of the business.
* Play an active role in the successful delivery of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects—from initial development through to production and customer launch.
* Collaborate with customers and suppliers to gather technical requirements and ensure their effective integration into manufacturing processes.
* Assist in the assessment of process and equipment capability to maintain consistent product quality.
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety, legal, and customer-specific standards throughout the product lifecycle.
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of accurate and comprehensive quality documentation.
* Engage with customers to investigate and resolve quality concerns, from supply chain issues to post-delivery support.
* Promote a proactive quality culture focused on defect prevention and waste reduction.
* Support the implementation of robust corrective action processes to eliminate recurring issues and prevent cross-product impact.
* Work closely with Quality and Technical teams to enhance internal communication and ensure effective sharing of quality concerns and resolutions.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence across all departments.
Requirements
* Previous experience of working in a quality engineering role.
* Experience of working with PPAP/APQP, IPC.
* Good working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, AS9100.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
