About the Role Are you passionate about developing the next generation of Motor Vehicle Technicians? We are working with an Ofsted-rated Good college in Berkshire who are seeking a Technical Skills Coach – Motor Vehicle to support their high-performing Apprenticeship team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your industry expertise and coaching skills to guide apprentices through their Motor Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship Programmes, helping them achieve their full potential and a successful end-point assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of apprentices, delivering workplace coaching, mentoring, and formative assessments.
Conduct regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers to track achievements against standards.
Provide clear guidance on apprenticeship standards and EPA (End-Point Assessment) requirements.
Work collaboratively with employers to ensure apprentices receive the necessary on- and off-the-job training.
Use e-portfolios and digital tools to track learner progress and maintain accurate records.
Engage with EPAOs and remain updated on developments within the Apprenticeship landscape.
Essential:
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent Level 2).
Level 3 or above in motor vehicle
Assessor Award A1 (or willingness to work towards).
Proven experience working with apprentices or learners in an educational or workplace setting
Strong organisational, communication, and digital literacy skills.
Desirable:
Experience working with EPAOs and curriculum teams.
Knowledge of additional learning support for apprentices.
