Job Description
Join a team of software engineers responsible for designing, developing, and operating high-throughput pipelines that support scientists worldwide in ingesting, processing, persisting, and distributing large volumes of sequence data. Collaborate with ENA’s development and operational teams, EBI’s IT and Technical services teams, and the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (INSDC).

Requirements
You have
* At least 6 years of professional software development experience using Java and the Spring framework.
* Experience with workflow management systems and distributed data processing software (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
* Experience working with large-scale databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB).
* Excellent knowledge of the UNIX command line.
* Experience with modern software development practices, including continuous integration and deployment, testing principles, and system monitoring.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
You might also have
* Experience in a multidisciplinary scientific environment.
* Knowledge of sequence data formats (e.g., FASTQ, BAM, CRAM, SRA).
