ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT - PERMANENT - LONDON - UP TO £47k + 15% BONUS - HYBRID
Robert Half are thrilled to be working with a long-standing client who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis offering hybrid working, up to £47k and 15% bonus, study support and career progression!
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and process journal entries, ledger transactions, and reconciliations accurately and timely.
2. Producing accurate monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis for the contract and reporting results to Contract Manager, Finance Manager, and operational managers.
3. Preparing forecasts and budgets in liaison with finance teams - providing support and advice where required.
4. Support the wider Municipal finance team with audit queries and pricing queries from clients.
5. Support data collection and basic analysis of operational KPIs and financial performance of the contract.
6. Collaborate with other team members to complete balance sheet reconciliations.
7. Assist in auditing processes to ensure compliance with policies/procedure and collaborate with the finance team to assist with other ad hoc tasks.
Requirements:
8. Part-qualified or finalist - ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent.
9. Proficiency in spreadsheet as Microsoft Excel/ google sheets.
10. Excellent organisational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
11. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines and good communication skills.
