Senior Occupational Health Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Health Advisor to join the Centre of Occupational Health & Wellbeing. The post holder will work as a Senior Nurse Advisor with a broad range of Occupational Health experience, delivering client-focused programmes of care that meet the complex and changing health and wellbeing needs of the workforce.
The role involves managing a clinical caseload, providing expert occupational health advice, and supporting staff to remain in or return to work safely. The post holder will also support with the day-to-day operational running of the service, providing clinical leadership and contributing to service delivery, quality improvement and governance.
Main duties of the job
* Deliver high-quality, client-focused Occupational Health programmes of care, responding to the complex and changing health and wellbeing needs of the workforce.
* Manage a specialist clinical caseload, including case management, health assessments, statutory health surveillance, immunisation and advisory work.
* Provide expert, evidence-based Occupational Health advice to employees, managers and HR, supporting safe return-to-work and stay-at-work decisions.
* Work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team, exercising advanced clinical judgement.
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to junior staff, acting as a role model for best practice. Contribute to service development, quality improvement, audit, governance and SEQOHS compliance.
* Build effective working relationships across the Trust and with external stakeholders to support organisational objectives.
* Support the day-to-day operational running of the Occupational Health service.

Job responsibilities
The Senior Occupational Health Advisor provides specialist, evidencebased Occupational Health and Wellbeing services, delivering advanced clinical practice, leadership, education and service improvement in line with national standards, including SEQOHS accreditation requirements. The post holder works autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to support employee health, organisational priorities and safe systems of work.

Person Specification
* Registered Nurse with a recordable Occupational Health qualification (e.g., SCPHN (OH) Part 3 NMC or equivalent) and evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development.
* Master Level Degree in relevant subjects.
* Experience in NHS and private sector OH capacity at senior level.
