An exciting opportunity to join Birmingham Children’s Trust’s Trust Intelligence and Insight Centre (TIIC). As Senior Insight and Intelligence Manager you will play a pivotal leadership role at the heart of the Trust’s digital and data ambition, transforming complex data into meaningful insights that drive better decisions and improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
This hybrid role is based in Birmingham, UK. Applicants must have the right‑to‑work in the UK; we do not sponsor visas.
Responsibilities
- Managing and developing a high‑performing team within TIIC, providing leadership, coaching, supervision and professional development.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of the Trust’s Performance and Quality Assurance (PQA), Data and Digital Strategy, and reporting progress to the Trust Leadership Team (TLT).
- Leading and championing business intelligence and insight, driving innovation, continuous improvement and high performance.
- Producing and presenting high‑quality analytical reports, translating performance data into clear insight, trends and intelligence that inform decision‑making.
- Leading the design, development and maintenance of complex Power BI dashboards and reporting that support strategic priorities and statutory requirements.
- Partnering with senior leaders and operational services to turn complex data into actionable insight that improves practice and outcomes.
- Driving Ofsted readiness, ensuring data, reporting and performance systems are robust, accurate and inspection‑ready.
- Leading on data governance and data quality, strengthening confidence in data and enabling informed decision‑making across the Trust.
- Supporting PQA and SEF reporting, statutory returns and inspection activity with high‑quality, reliable datasets.
- Supporting service improvement through performance insight, forecasting and systematic review of practice and outcomes.
- Managing the Trust’s reporting infrastructure and supporting business change to enable continued improvement.
- Promoting equity, equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring the Trust is a place where people can be their authentic selves.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification at degree level or equivalent covering Digital, Information Management and Business Intelligence skills. Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Advanced expertise in Power BI, SQL and data warehousing.
- Strong leadership and strategic delivery experience within complex environments.
- Proven experience in statutory reporting, performance analysis and quality assurance.
- The ability to communicate complex information clearly, confidently and with empathy.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding, continuous learning and delivering excellent services.
