Role Description
This is a full‑time on‑site Care Assistant role located in Borehamwood. The Care Assistant will provide high‑quality care and companionship to older adults in their homes, ensuring their independence and well‑being. Daily tasks include assisting with personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and engaging in meaningful activities with clients. Maintaining accurate care records and adhering to Radfield Home Care’s standards of quality and respect are key components of the role. Training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure the Care Assistant exceeds client expectations.
Qualifications
* Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills for building relationships and understanding client needs.
* Capability to assist with personal care, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, while showing respect and empathy.
* Knowledge of basic household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and organization to support the daily routines of clients.
* Ability to maintain clear and accurate care records and follow policies and procedures.
* Teamwork skills and a willingness to receive training for continuous professional development.
* A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not mandatory).
* Previous experience in a care role or a healthcare setting is beneficial but not required; a caring and compassionate nature is essential.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work toward qualification is a plus.
