Part time (Job share 2 ½ days)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Annesley.

This team is responsible to provide support to the Manufacturing Services Leader and Manufacturing Services Engineer to ensure the organisation’s objectives and goals are delivered.

The Manufacturing Services Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing assets and all associated production equipment located in a manufacturing facility.

What you will be doing:

In this role you will perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment across a plant, site or business, to ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable for use when required, in addition you will:

1. Consistently perform asset maintenance activities in order to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high performance standard.
2. Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance and collect, organise, and analyse data in support of Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department as required.
3. Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical diagrams & schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics.
4. Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures. Research and implement improvements.
5. Coordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities with Production Staff, regularly communicating and interfacing with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and Production Operators and Work alongside/support equipment OEM engineers as required.

For this role you will need to demonstrate understanding of the appliable health and safety standards and we are looking for someone who is/has:

6. Completed an advanced level engineering apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
7. Understanding of local and regional HSE standards and regulations.
8. Basic use of machine tools.
9. Good hydraulic background / fluid power is essential.

*Please attach a copy of your certificate as proof of completing a recognised apprenticeship together with/next to your CV.
