Overview
Gallagher is currently recruiting for a Broking Manager to join our Southwest broking team. In this role, you will implement Gallagher's placement strategy for new and existing business. Your main focus will be building strong relationships with underwriters and carriers in the market to negotiate the most favourable terms. As part of our Southwest Broking team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business and ensuring excellent market relationships are established and maintained. How You'll Make an Impact
* Help advise and coordinate broking strategy with account handlers and account executives, and lead negotiations with insurers to secure placement solutions that enable us to win and retain clients.
* Work with new business producers to position prospective opportunities with insurers, improving our success rate by enhancing our market position tactically.
* Work with and support the Regional Broking Director, establish and cultivate insurer relationships within the region, and evaluate performance and service delivery.
* Engage with insurers to manage identified pipeline opportunities for them.
* Build a network of internal and external contacts through effective relationship management.
* Act as a conduit for feedback to furnish your Division with relevant market insight and help manage insurer service issues where necessary. Report through the Regional Broking Director.
* Travel within the region to increase visibility of the placement team within South West branches.
About You
* Previous experience as a Placement Broker is desirable.
* Experienced in Property, Liability and Fleet insurance packages.
* Happy to consider a new business focused Account handler/Broker/Underwriter with relevant experience.
* Holding or working towards a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification such as Cert CII or Dip CII is desirable; education to GCSE standard or equivalent is required.
* Worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLAs.
* Risk aware in handling customer information; able to recognise potential risk and seek advice when required.
* Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail.
* Proficient in Acturis.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
