Overview
Caring for homeless dogs and cats on a 5‑acre wooded site within kennels and a cattery.
Responsibilities
* Housekeeping duties: cleaning kennels, bedding, food preparation and hygiene routines.
* Exercising dogs in grass paddocks.
* Working with volunteers and supporting rescue activities as part of a team.
Qualifications
* Dependability, reliability, good communication skills, and teamwork.
* Experience with dogs is ideal; animal care training is an advantage.
* Live locally and have own transport (rural location in Smallfield, Gatwick Area).
Details
* Pay: paid above minimum wage depending on age band.
* Hours: early start at 8:00 am, until 6:00 pm; 4 days (36 hrs) with one day at the weekend.
* On‑the‑job training and the chance to gain rescue experience working alongside volunteer dog walkers and cat cuddlers.
