The Compliance Shared Services (CoSS) organization is tasked with building shared services for managing regulations. The SPIDER (Streamlining Planning, Deployment and Post-Release) team within CoSS manages the technical infrastructure and tools to proactively identify and resolve issues impacting Selling Partners.
We are looking for experienced System Development Engineers with a background in software/system engineering support or similar roles. Candidates should have experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS experience is a plus), and in building and maintaining highly scalable, resilient services. A successful candidate will be metrics-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of leading in fast-paced, multi-functional environments.
The role involves working with support engineers, improving processes and services, monitoring operational efficiency, and leading small development projects and custom tool creation. Specific tasks include upgrading load balancers, migrating services across regions without downtime, updating service dependencies, and implementing oauth2 for service-to-service communication.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical support and problem resolution for complex production issues
* Developing operational tools and automation using Ruby, Rails, Java, Python, shell scripting
* Managing system deployment and support in AWS and web environments
* Designing monitoring solutions for system reliability
* Collaborating with teams and maintaining knowledge bases
* Owning digital products or system components and ensuring SLA compliance
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java)
* Experience with distributed systems and large-scale infrastructure automation
* Proficiency in Linux/Unix and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
