Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their early education? We are recruiting enthusiastic and caring Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary schools in Sheffield and Barnsley.
Location: Sheffield & Barnsley
Role: KS1 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2025 (with immediate starts available)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time | Term-time only | Long-term
Role Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils aged 5–7 in KS1 classrooms
* Delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support
* Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
* Encouraging pupil engagement and building confidence
* Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
Requirements:
* Experience working with children in a school or nursery setting
* Relevant TA qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) preferred
* Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics schemes
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* A patient, positive and nurturing attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
