THE EMPLOYER IS: PREMIER TRAFFIC SYSTEMS LIMITED As a Trainee Traffic Management Operative, your role will be to support the Company to deliver expertise and temporary traffic management systems to a variety of clients. To provide an effective and safe service ensuring the safety of construction workers, road users and the general public. General hours of work may vary per week. Shifts can be days, evenings, nights and weekends. Overtime hours are available and paid at a higher rate. The role is manual position therefore you will need to be physically able to undertake all aspects of the role such as lifting equipment and barriers.
Responsibilities
* Support Traffic Management Operatives with installing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management equipment such as cones, signs, frames, sandbags and traffic lights on low-speed roads.
* Compliance with Company policies and procedures and the National Highways Sector Scheme to maintain safe working practices.
* Completion of daily and weekly paperwork, including timesheets, vehicle checks, site maintenance checks, PQP etc.
* Communicate with clients, statutory bodies and other contractors in a professional and friendly manner.
* Housekeeping duties in the yard, ensuring all vehicles, plant and machinery are stored safely and kept clean, tidy and serviceable.
* Demonstrate an ability to support your team, use your own initiative and maintain good working relationships.
* Provide all clients with the highest standards of service, promote good working relationships and maintain the highest standards of quality in your work.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Excellent time management skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to think use initiative, plan ahead, prioritise, organise and problem solve.
Desirable Skills
* Full and clean UK driving licence.
* Valid CSR card.
