Overview
Liaise with the Contracts Manager to ensure delivery of the specification on site is adhered to.
Provide cleaning cover for absence, vacancies, and annual leave.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring the Time Gate is used correctly on each shift by all team members.
* Managing the cleaning team: overseeing staff, including training and supervising.
* Ensuring all work is done in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and that corporate standards are met.
* Ensuring equipment and materials are adequate, in good repair, and capable of carrying out cleaning duties.
* Ensuring the amount of cleaning chemicals on site is adequate and effective.
* Ensuring COSHH is applied effectively.
* Completing weekly pay sheets, weekly staff rotas, and ensuring all daily shifts are covered and completed on time.
* Deliver training to the site team and keep clear records of training for new staff, and existing staff with re‑training needs.
* Highlight any training needs for new or existing staff to the line manager.
* Lead the cleaning team to create a supportive work environment.
* Report any accidents/incidents through the correct channels immediately.
General Duties
* Full understanding of specification.
* Maintain company image through attention to standard of dress, equipment, sensible footwear, use of PPE, machinery and conduct of all staff on customer premises.
* Communication and adherence to cleaning programme.
* Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
* Client requests are dealt with within agreed time scales.
* Immediate remedial action is taken as necessary.
* Motivate operatives and keep them informed about initiatives that will affect them.
* Ensure that company policy, divisional directives, ISO 9002, Health and Safety, and COSHH regulations are implemented.
