Main Job Purpose

You will lead the day-to-day operations of our production facility, ensuring efficient processes, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves coordinating resources, managing staff, and optimising production schedules to meet production deadlines while maintaining a focus on the continuous improvement of quality and cost-effectiveness.


Requirements

* Proven experience in a production management role.
* Tried and tested experience in Lean/Six Sigma.
* Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Proficient in production management software and tools.
* Experience of using technical/bespoke IT systems.
* Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
* Process driven and methodical, with ambition to develop production methodologies in line with best practice.
* Good knowledge and user experience with Microsoft Office package.


Role accountabilities

* Team leadership – you will be responsible for fostering a culture of people leadership within the production facility. The ability to work and support Team Leaders to provide guidance, resulting in a productive working environment is key.
* Production skills and training – it will be your responsibility to conduct training and performance evaluations, ensuring we have a well skilled and highly adaptable team within production.
* Production oversight – manage and coordinate all aspects for our production processes, ensuring timely and efficient production schedules.
* Quality – you will be a driving force for quality assurance. This means maintaining our quality assurance guidelines to ensure that all products meet Company standards and regulatory requirements and pushing for continuous improvement for our products.
* Stock management – continuous feedback to procurement to ensure correct inventory levels are maintained to allow smooth flow of orders through production.
* Preventative maintenance – ensure a robust plan is implemented and adhered to, allowing for minimal downtime within our production facility.
* Budget maintenance – assist in the preparation and management of production budgets, monitoring expenses and seeking cost-saving opportunities.
* Safety compliance – drive production H&S, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. Promote a safe working environment for all the team and push for its continuous improvement.
* Collaboration – work closely with other departments to ensure production objectives are aligned with Company objectives.
* Observe all safety rules and procedures, ensuring that the work area, equipment and materials are left in a safe state; and that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of all fellow employees and any other persons within the work area.
* Work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
* Carry out and comply with all Company policies, procedures and instructions and any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by the Company.
