Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION NBCUniversal is a leader in providing entertainment programming to the US and international marketplaces. The International Digital Distribution division is responsible for the international distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of linear and digital media. This includes distribution of current and library theatrical movies, direct-to-video movies, documentaries and specials, plus all forms of television product - scripted TV series, non-scripted TV series, mini-series, animation and TV movies. ROLE PURPOSE Working collaboratively with the team, the Manager, Content Production will be responsible for delivering high-end videos for distribution across NBCU's wholly owned AVOD portfolio. The Manager, Content Production will manage a portfolio of YouTube channels and Snapchat shows taking full ownership of ideation, video and image asset creation, publishing, ensuring all upload cadences are met. This role requires a strong understanding of platform analytics to track performance and identify growth opportunities, collaborating closely with Lead Channel Managers to execute a best-in-class content and channel strategy that maximizes audience reach and revenue potential. The Manager, Content Production will have considerable experience of editing full length TV shows and Feature Films down to concise and compelling 'social' versions, with a deep understanding of how to keep viewers engaged, across a variety of social media platforms. They will be able to advise in creating highly original and arresting thematic compilations that deliver high engagement. In addition, the Manager, Content Production will be responsible for managing the post-production workflows for special 'hero' projects, such as original content pieces, sizzle reels or proof of concepts for social formats. The Manager, Content Production will act as the main point of contact for the wider creative team, adopting a mentoring and troubleshooting role to develop and standardise the quality of daily output. They will have strong motivational, interpersonal skills and the ability to work dynamically within a small, entrepreneurial unit. RESPONSIBILITIES Brief, edit, deliver and optimise best-in-class video assets a variety of social media platforms, including YouTube and Snapchat, with a responsibility of end-to-end community management. Facilitating creative solutions for underperforming content/verticals In collaboration with Manager, Editing & Production, ensure adoption of new production workflows within wider team Be the contact for post-production troubleshooting Ensure new joiners are fully briefed and/or trained in the technical and creative standards required Maintain stakeholder standards within the production process Manage end-to-end ad hoc post-production for 'hero' content, such as proof of concepts and promo reels Provide support to the team in creating graphic assets DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS Strong creative flair and ability to edit to broadcast standard across clip-based compilations and original content in a commercial division Deep knowledge and understanding of the full Adobe software suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) Compelling copywriting skills Proven track-record in generating arresting content at volume, that delivers high viewing and engagement? Deep understanding of the AVOD and social video space and up to date with industry developments Ability to take feedback and optimise on the way Confidence to generate and champion original ideas Fully conversant with minimum 3 key platforms: YouTube, Snapchat and TikTok Highly engaged in social media and willing to recommend latest trends and ideas Passion for key content genres including Film, Comedy, Reality TV, Kids and Horror? Highly organised and calm under pressure? Passion for and thorough expertise of the AVOD space? Ability to build rapport with creatives Eye for detail and high-quality threshold QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Basic Qualifications Degree in creative arts and design, graphic design, digital media and creative computing or similar Portfolio that highlights individual creative flair within a commercial context Excellent skills in Adobe Suite, mainly Premiere, Photoshop and a good understanding of After Effects (basic 2D animation using keyframes) Experience in re-versioning widescreen content for vertical video platforms Knowledge of common formats, systems and terminology used in Film/TV post-production Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Experience gained in a digital media environment As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
