Salary: 30-35k Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm
The Technical Systems Assistant will support the Technical and Quality team in maintaining site documentation, systems and compliance processes. Working closely with colleagues across Technical, Production, NPD and Supply Chain, you will help ensure that product information, specifications and technical records are accurate, up to date and aligned with both legal and retailer requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Assist with supplier approval processes, raw material risk assessments and ongoing supplier monitoring
• Maintain accurate technical information for raw materials, packaging and finished products
• Coordinate laboratory testing schedules and support routine product and environmental testing activities
• Manage document control across the site’s QMS, ensuring records and procedures remain current
• Support traceability exercises and mass balance checks to verify product integrity and system compliance
• Support sampling programmes and microbiological monitoring of raw materials and products
• Contribute to internal audit programmes and support preparation for external and retailer audits
• Assist with allergen management activities including risk assessments, verification and documentation updates
• Monitor non-conformances and support investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Support complaint investigations and help maintain clear records of technical responses and outcomes
• Maintain and manage technical databases including product labelling and specification information
• Review quality and technical performance data to help identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Work with production teams to ensure technical standards and procedures are clearly understood and followed

Your Background
• Experience working within a technical, quality or food safety role in food manufacturing
• Food Safety Level 3 qualification or working towards it
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage technical documentation and systems accurately
• Good understanding of food safety standards and quality management systems
• Confident working with data, reports and technical documentation
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
• A proactive team player with a genuine interest in food safety and technical compliance
